PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device wherein data having high access frequency are relocated in a high-speed physical disk while suppressing a load on the storage device and physical disks. SOLUTION: This storage device includes: a first disk pool 102; a second disk pool 112; a cache memory 140; and a control part 150 reading/writing data from/into a physical block by use of a logical disk allocation table 301 associating the physical block to an address on a logical disk. The control part includes a data reading means 201 reading the data from a first physical block in response to a reading request, storing them on the cache memory, writing the data on the cache memory into a second physical block on the first disk pool when the first physical block is present on the second disk pool, thereafter releasing the first physical block, and updating the logical disk allocation table.
