PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: toner, having favorable fixability to achieve uniform exudation of a core in fixing even in the case of a capsule toner whose core surface is coated with a shell having higher flow tester softening temperature and glass transition temperature than the core to improve storage stability; a method of manufacturing the toner; a developer; a developing device; and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner includes: a core part containing at least resin; and a shell part including at least resin having a glass transition temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of resin contained in the core part. The toner is a capsule toner in which a plurality of holes penetrating to the surface of the core part are formed in the shell part. In the toner, exposure percentage of the core part ranges from 10 to 30%. In the toner, an orthogonal projection circle equivalent diameter of the exposed surface of the core part is within the range of 5-20%. In the toner, a coefficient CV of variation of distribution of the orthogonal projection circle equivalent diameter of the exposed surface of the core part is under 40%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
