PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize an object state highly accurately with a small power consumption and with a small calculation amount. SOLUTION: This device includes an input part 101 for inputting movement information of an object, an input part 102 for inputting sound information around the object, a recognition part 103 for recognizing an operation state of the object based on the movement information, an extraction part 104 for extracting sound information selectively based on the operation state, an extraction part 105 for extracting a first characteristic amount from the sound information extracted by the extraction part 104, an accumulation part 110 for accumulating models wherein a second characteristic amount extracted before the first characteristic amount by the extraction part 105 is correlated with a specific state inputted beforehand, a determination part 108 for determining a specific state correlated with the second characteristic amount most similar to the first characteristic amount as a present state of the object, and an output part 109 for outputting the present state.
