PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer set suitable for PCR for detecting or determining a thiocyanate decomposing bacterium. SOLUTION: The primer set is useful for a PCR for detecting or determining a thiocyanate decomposing bacterium and uses a primer that includes a forward primer and a reverse primer, in which a primer having a base sequence composed of a specific sequence is used as the forward primer and a primer having a base sequence composed of a specific sequence different from the specific sequence is used as the reverse primer.
