The assembly (10) has a force limiter (16) arranged between a seat belt lock (12) and a tension transmission unit (14) i.e. steel cable. The force limiter includes two parts movable relative to each other. One of the parts is designed as a cutting body, which is cut into the other part during a relative movement to the latter part. The force limiter includes an adjustable piston (20) arranged in a cylinder (18) that is fastened to the seat belt lock. The piston is fastened to the transmission unit. The piston exhibits a cutting geometry (26), which is cut into an inner surface of the cylinder.
