The invention relates to an arrangement that enables selecting one from a stack of contactless activated data carriers individually for contactless activation by a reading device. The arrangement comprises a separating element (2) for spacing the data carriers. The separating element (2) has at least two layers (2a, 2b), namely a metal layer (2a) and a ferrite layer (2b). A contactless card arranged on the ferrite side can be output without interference. Communication with a contactless card on the metal side is contrastingly disrupted due to the proximity to the metal layer. The arrangement can be used, for example, for singling out an RFID card in a money purse or a wallet or an electronic visa label in a passport.
