PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal transmitter which can reduce power consumption by adjusting a signal level of a local oscillation signal to be mixed in a signal for a monitor if necessary.

SOLUTION: The signal transmitter 1 takes out a part of a transmission signal S2 as a signal S3 for a monitor to adjust a transmission signal S1 by feedback control based on the signal S3 for the monitor, and includes: a local oscillator 16 which outputs a local oscillation signal S7; a frequency mixer 14 which demodulates a signal S5 for the monitor by mixing a local oscillation signal S8 with the signal S5 for the monitor; a variable amplifier 15 which amplifies the local oscillation signal S7; and a digital signal processing part 2 which adjusts the signal level of the local oscillation signal S8 to be mixed in the signal S5 for the monitor by controlling the variable amplifier 15 based on the distortion of a demodulated signal S10 for the monitor.
