POSITION DETECTION METHOD, PORTABLE TERMINAL, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of detecting the position of a portable terminal that an operator carries when the operator performs an operation while carrying the portable terminal, without having to install a number of RFID (radio frequency identification) tags or requiring a reader to approach the RFID tag more than necessary.

SOLUTION: A position detection method includes: a voice information acquisition step S21 for acquiring sounds from a microphone 232, subjecting the sounds to voice recognition, and acquiring voice information; a selection step S22 for selecting correction position information corresponding to the acquired voice information from a correction position information table 260 having correction position information related to the voice information stored in an operator's terminal 2; a position information acquisition step S24 for acquiring data on the present position of the operator's terminal 2 that the operator A carries; and a determination step S25 for determining position information based on the data on the present position and the correction position information selected.
