<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road sign which facilitates implementation of various improvements, such as a reduction in the weight of a member. <P>SOLUTION: The base 2 of the road sign includes a core 24 and an outer layer 25 covering the core 24. The core 24 and the outer layer 25 are made of synthetic resin materials different from each other. The synthetic resin making up the outer layer 25 improves the appearance of the base 2 including its texture. The synthetic resin making up the core 24 is the synthetic resin having features of a small specific gravity, being inexpensive, and being recycled from a used product.
