<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing method suitable for continuing processing by turning a mobile terminal to a carrier-on state again without interrupting the processing even if the mobile terminal is temporarily turned to a carrier-off state after starting the processing by turning the mobile terminal to the carrier-on state. <P>SOLUTION: A reader/writer recognizes the terminal ID of a mobile terminal existing in a communicable range by a short-distance radio communication interface, the reader/writer requests program processing to the recognized mobile terminal, and under a condition that coincidence between the recognized terminal ID and the terminal ID of the mobile terminal which is temporarily turned to a communication disabled state is obtained by collation, the reader/writer performs control for the re-establishment of communication with the mobile terminal (232, 233, 234). Since communication for restarting the interrupted processing is re-established under the condition of the coincidence of the terminal ID by collation, the continuation of the interrupted processing can be easily guaranteed even if the reader/writer is interrupted by the other mobile terminal when the mobile terminal is in the carrier-off state.
