PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film capable of expecting application to a solar battery, electronic equipment, further an article related to a life ornament such as a building material, a UV photosensitive marker in an electronic part and optical sensor technology without contaminating the inside of a system at use and given with sufficient discrimination function. SOLUTION: The luminous polyester film is a polyester film having a coating layer on at least one surface, and is characterized in that it contains 1.0-10 wt.% of at least one kind of compound selected from a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon based compound and a porphyrin based compound in the coating layer.
