PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable effects for controlling insect pests in greenhouse culture in agriculture by preventing predacious mites from dying out or stopping the action caused by excessive low temperature or high temperature in the free-range device. SOLUTION: The free-range device for enemy organisms includes in a container 1 a first heat-retaining agent 2 having the melting point near normal temperature, a second heat-retaining agent 3 having the melting point higher than that of the first heat-retaining agent 2, and a medium 4 such as chaff becoming the feed of the feed mites. The survival environment of the enemy organisms is maintained by preventing a temperature rise in the container 1 by melting the second heat-retaining agent 3 when the temperature at the exterior of the container 1 reaches the melting point of the second heat-retaining agent 3, and preventing the temperature fall in the container 1 by solidifying the first heat-retaining agent 2 when the temperature at the exterior of the container 1 reaches the freezing point of the first heat-retaining agent 2.
