PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods relating to integrin-mediated cancer cell proliferation. SOLUTION: There are provided compositions and methods for reducing the proliferation of cancer cells through targeted interactions with integrins. In detail, a method for decreasing proliferation of cancer cells, including a step of inhibiting ligand bonding to an integrin receptor on the cancer cells, wherein the integrin receptor includes integrin. The cancer cell is selected from the group consisting of Melanoma cell, Adenophyma cell, Lymphoma cell, Myeloma cell, Carcinoma cell, Plasmacytoma cell, Sarcoma cell, Glioma cell, Thymoma cell, Leukemic cell, Carcinoma cutaneum cell, Retina cancer cell, Breast cancer cell, Prostatic cancer cell, Colon cancer cell, Esophageal cancer cell, Stomach cancer cell, Pancreas cancer cell, Brain tumor cell, Lung cancer cell, Ovarian cancer cell, Cervix cancer cell, Liver cancer cell, gastrointestinal cancer cell, and head and neck cancer cell.
