<p>A method for controlling local switching includes that a local switching (LS) decision point receives a first LS indication from a profile repository, the LS decision point judges whether a local switching is permitted according to the first LS indication and local policy, if the local switching is permitted, the LS decision point sends a second LS indication to a LS control point, otherwise the local switching is not performed. An equipment and system for controlling local switching are provided. The method and system for local switching realize that the network element of signaling plane can control the local switching in communication network.</p>
