<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which provides a high quality observation image by improving the heat insulating effect of the distal end of the endoscope without damaging living body safety. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope incorporates an imaging optical system having an imaging element and an illumination optical system at the distal end part of an endoscope insertion part 13 to be inserted into a subject. At least one of distal end surface and outer peripheral surface of the distal end part of the endoscope insertion part 13 is coated with a foamable resin member 61 the inside of which is formed of a foaming layer 63 and the outer surface of which is formed of a non-foaming layer 65. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
