<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a limited installation space with a simple structure in a valve device of a high pressure tank for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The valve device 10 includes a valve box 20, and the valve box 20 houses: the inlet 14 and outlet 16 of gas; a flow passage 18 connecting the gas inlet and outlet to the high pressure tank 12; and valves 30, 32, 34, 38, 40 disposed on the flow passage 18. These components built in the valve box 20 are provided on the same plane intersecting perpendicularly with the axial direction of the high pressure tank 12.
