PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barbed discharge wire of a simple structure which is used for wet electric dust collectors and can make an efficient running of a strong discharge current. SOLUTION: This barbed discharge wire 10 is configured to include a linear current running wire 11 and pointed wires 12a and 12b with both sharp L-bent ends. In addition, each pair of the pointed wires 12a and 12b are arranged suitably at an equal interval of 30 to 60 mm from one end to the other end of the current running wire 11, and the length of each pointed wire 12a and 12b from the bent part to the apex, is preferably 5 to 30 mm.
