PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which allows a flash light emitting part to smoothly move with a simple mechanism and also which maintains light distribution characteristics. SOLUTION: A digital camera being the imaging apparatus includes the flash light emitting part 9, moving between a pop-down position where it is housed in a housing part 37a and a pop-up position; a sliding shaft 36 provided behind the light emitting part 9; a guide groove 37b provided in the housing part 37a so as to guide the sliding shaft 36; a link 20, supported on the flash light emitting part 9 through a first shaft 39 and supported in the housing part 37a through a second shaft 41; and a link lever 21, energized to the link 20 by a torsion spring 40 and rotating integrally with the link at normal times, wherein at least either a clearance in the axial direction of the first shaft 39 between a holder 22 and the first link 20 or a clearance in the axial direction of the second shaft 41 between the link 20 and the housing part 37a is made smaller than the clearance in the axial direction between the housing part 37a and the holder 22.
