PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a mist from being generated in printing with no blank, and to restrain image quality from getting worse therein caused by an image deletion. SOLUTION: This printer includes a platen (20) formed with a recovery hole for recovering left ink, a negative pressure generating mechanism (24) for generating negative pressure supplied to the recovery hole, a duct (28) for connection to supply the negative pressure from the negative pressure generating mechanism to the recovery hole, and a leak passage (30) connected to the midway of the duct and communicated with the atmosphere via an opening. A wind velocity of air sucked into the recovery hole is moderated by leakage in the leak passage, to obtain a proper wind velocity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
