<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite-mounted reflecting telescope which is light-weight, highly strong, and has stable optical properties with respect to the ambient temperature environment, wherein the following problems are solved, when the constitutional members are formed of the same and one raw materials, the members have stable optical properties with respect to heat in the situation where all the members have the same temperature, but in the actual environment, the temperature of a sub mirror easily becomes high. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the reflecting telescope where a concave main mirror and the convex sub mirror are arranged facing each other, and the main mirror and the sub mirror are attached to a support pole through respective base plates, and configured to take out a luminous flux from the opening at the center of the main mirror toward the rear side of the main mirror, a gap between the sub mirror and the base plate is joined with a thermal expansion compensation member, so that the expanding direction of the member due to the thermal expansion aligns with the direction of the optical axis of the reflecting telescope. Further, each member is constituted of a carbon fiber reinforced carbon silicon carbide material obtained by partly carbonizing and siliconizing a carbon fiber reinforced carbon material.
