<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving service life of a ball screw device by smoothly guiding a holding belt holding balls circulating in a circulation passage. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This ball screw device 1 includes: a holding belt 13 having pocket holes 15 respectively holding balls 2 circulating in a circulation passage and spacer parts 16 arranged between the balls 2; and two guide grooves 18 guiding side edges 14a of both sides of the holding belt 13 in a communication passage 10. Each opening of the two guide grooves 18 in connection parts of the communication passage 10 are arranged in parallel with a clearance between the outer peripheral surface of the screw shaft 3 and the inner peripheral surface of the nut 5 around connection points S on both sides of the center line Cf of a spiral rolling passage for the balls 2 rolling in a load passage and the center line Ci of a movement passage for the balls moving in the bent communication passage 10. Each guide groove 18 is symmetrically formed around a central point P on the center line Ci of the movement passage between the connection points S on both sides as the point of symmetry in the state that the belt center line Cb of the holding belt 13 and the center line Cf of the movement passage coincide with each other.
