<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target hitting game device which solves such a problem and naturally enhances the musical properties such as musical sense and rhythmic sense by having a player hit a target to the music. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The target hitting game device is provided with an accompanying music supplying section 2 which plays a specific accompanying music, a target drive-controlling section 3 which projects the target 9 from either of a plurality of holes 10 at each timing of the melody of the accompanying music, a hit detecting section 4 which detects whether the projected target 9 is hit by a hammer 8 within a specific time interval, a hit counting section 5 which counts the number of hits detected by the hit detecting section 4, a melody playing section 6 which plays one sound of the melody of the accompanying music at that time when the projected target 9 is hit by the hammer 8 within a specific time interval against the timing of the melody, and a hit count displaying section 7 which evaluates the number of times the target 9 is hit and displays it on a display board.
