<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens cap being easily detachable when a movable lens barrel is extended, and to provide a camera including the lens cap. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A retractable camera includes the movable lens barrel and the lens cap 3 attached to a lens barrel holding part. The lens cap 3 includes a front plate 31 and a short cylindrical sidewall 32 around the front plate 31. The lens cap 3 has, on the inside of the sidewall 32, a hollow fitting fixed part 62 formed of an elastic member in annular shape and equipped with inside space, wherein an intake part 61 and an exhaust part 60 extended from the inside of a front end of the fitting fixed part 62 are brought into close contact with the inside of the front plate 31. The cap 3 has a holding pressure control member having rigidity which is provided inside the lens cap 3 of the intake part 61 and the exhaust part 60, and then it includes an intake valve 80 on a contact surface of the intake part 61 with the holding pressure control member and an exhaust valve on a contact surface of the exhaust part 60 with the holding pressure control member.
