PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and high-precision angle detection AD converter and angle detection AD converting method which, during angle detection AD conversion to detect an angle componentθfrom a two-dimensional analog signal Vx, Vy, suppress deterioration in precision of an angle detection AD converter circuit due to an offset or gain mismatch of a signal input into the angle detection AD converter circuit. SOLUTION: The angle detection AD converter, which uses at least two magnetic sensors to detect the direction of a magnetic field to be measured as an angle from a reference position, includes: a coordinate system converting section for performing orthogonal transformation of an output signal value whose X and Y components are respective output signals of the two magnetic sensors, disposed along two axes, namely X and Y axes, on a two-dimensional plane of an orthogonal system respectively, which detect the magnetic field to be measured; and an angle calculating section for calculating the angle of the magnetic field to be measured from the angle calculated from the output signal value and the angle calculated from the transformed signal value orthogonally transformed by the coordinate system converting section.
