<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dissipation of pool water overflowing from a spent fuel pool in case of an earthquake without affecting the handling workability of a spent fuel or the like in the spent fuel pool. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This spent fuel pool facility includes the spent fuel pool 1 for storing, underwater, the spent fuel taken out from a nuclear reactor, and an operation floor 2 higher than the water level in the spent fuel pool 1. The spent fuel pool facility includes a groove 6 that surrounds the spent fuel pool 1 and is formed in the operation floor 2 separately from a pool side wall 5 of the spent fuel pool by a predetermined distance, and a folding type weir 7 that is stored inside the groove during a normal state and expands above the groove based on an overflow detection signal or an earthquake information detection signal.
