<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a ball passage unit capable of effectively preventing passing game balls from being caught. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The control method for the ball passage unit includes a first rotator for holding a game ball at a first angular position and releasing the held game balls at a second angular position, and a second rotator for letting the game ball at a third angular position pass toward a prescribe area. Initialization control is executed in the control method. In the initialization control, a step of rotating the second rotator to the third angular position and a step of rotating the first rotator to a fourth angular position between the first angular position and the second angular position are sequentially executed.
