<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The buckle device has a buckle latch for insertion in a buckle and a deflecting element (1) connected to the buckle latch. The buckle latch is adapted to subdivide a safety belt into a shoulder portion (7) and a lap portion (5) and to deflect it in such a manner that the two portions extend away from the deflecting element in different directions.
