PURPOSE: A method for estimating a burning rate based on the grain size of limestone and a device for controlling a burning rate are provided to improve fuel efficiency when burned lime is manufactured. CONSTITUTION: A method for estimating a burning rate based on the grain size of limestone is as follows. A grain size is measured by analyzing a photographed limestone image(S10). A hydration rate corresponding to the grain size of limestone is calculated(S20). A burning condition is set by estimating a burning rate based on the hydration rate(S30). Burned lime is manufactured by burning the limestone based on the burning condition(S40).
