<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polygon mirror with high productivity at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the polygon mirror having a film on a reflection face includes: (1) an applying process for applying a solution containing a material for forming the film on the reflection face of the polygon mirror; (2) a film forming process following the process (1), for forming a coated film of the solution on the reflection face by positioning the reflection face in radial direction and turning the polygon mirror. The process (1) includes a process for applying the solution only on the part which is separated by Ri or larger from the turning axis of the polygon mirror, where Ri is the minimum distance between the reflection face and the turning axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
