PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus which can shorten a time from when a cap is in an abutting state to a liquid jetting head to flushing, and can suppress scattering of mist by flushing afterwards. SOLUTION: A cap holder 61 supports the cap 23 via a spring 63 and is set to be movable vertically. A carrier 62 reciprocates the cap holder 61 vertically through the reciprocation in the horizontal direction with a cam mechanism interposed, thereby bringing the cap to an abutting position and a flushing position. By a motor controller 70, a motor 68, a cam 67 and a spring 66, the cap 23 is moved to a first flushing position when moved from the abutting position to the flushing position, whereas the cap is moved to a second flushing position near the recording head 18 more than the first flushing position when moved from a non-abutting position to the flushing position.
