<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threshing method which reduces power consumption in threshing together with reduction of production of broken ears and straw dusts and also cereal grains attached with branches in threshing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Grain-attaching parts of the ears of grain culm are made to collide and shed to a linear member (2) set at a predetermined position. Alternately, the linear member (2) and the grain-attaching parts of the ear of grain culm are set to move mutually in reverse directions to collide and shed. The thresher used in the method is provided with a ear shooter (18) discharging the ears of grain culm to a net (3), and a pair of right and left propelling wheels (13a, 13b) which discharge the net (3) to the ear shooter (18).
