PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control device for a resonance step-up/step-down converter that achieves improvement in reliability while suppressing damage to switching elements by removing residual charges in a resonance circuit even if an abnormality occurs in a control signal generating part or a power supply. SOLUTION: The drive control device for a resonance step-up/step-down converter includes a first switching element pair arranged on the power supply side, a second switching element pair arranged on the load side, and a resonance circuit arranged between the first switching element pair and the second switching element pair. The device also has a power supply abnormality detecting part for detecting an abnormality of a power supply that supplies power to the first switching element pair and the second switching element pair, a command abnormality determining part for determining abnormalities of drive commands of the first switching element pair and the second switching element pair, and an output part for outputting a command for turning on the second switching element pair when an abnormality occurs in a power supply abnormality determining part or the command abnormality determining part.
