<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for saving energy while securing convenience for a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an obtaining means to obtain data corresponding to a specific service within a plurality of services related to image formation; a determination means to determine, based on a storage content in a storage means, whether the specific service corresponding to the data obtained by the obtaining means is a service to preferentially form an image; and a control means to execute, based on the result of the determination by the determination means, control to form an image in response to the data corresponding to the specific service or control to store the data when the obtaining means obtains the data corresponding to the specific service in the energy saving state where the own device restrains power consumption.
