The carrier has a guide rail (10) for receiving a printed circuit board that is inserted between two oppositely lying supports. A fixing region is formed at an end of the guide rail and comprises a fixing unit that is engaged in a receiver in one of the supports. A tolerance compensatory element is provided at another end of the guide rail and engages in another receiver in the other support lying opposite to the former support. The receivers are formed by an equidistant row of holes or recesses, and the fixing region comprises an attachment piece (13) that is designed as a tap.
