<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method which increasingly produce a specific neurotransmitter. <P>SOLUTION: A precursor of the neurotransmitter is oral administrated with a natural vegetable substance which stimulates uptake of the neurotransmitter precursor, and at the same time a natural vegetable substance for activating adenylate cyclase is added in order to avoid attenuation and also prevent pharmacological resistance so that synthesis and release of the neurotransmitter are increased. The composition for a medical food is so designed as to increase recognition force, induce sleep, increase a sub-sympathy autonomic nerve function, improve a balance of autonomic nerve, increase production of NO, decrease a blood pressure, increase a blood flow, and treat viral infection.
