<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for smoothly executing an ordering operation. <P>SOLUTION: A portable order processing terminal 180 for instructing the ordering of a commodity is configured to obtain commodity specification information D2 (for example, the commodity identification code of the commodity 6) for specifying the commodity 6 as the object of ordering by communication from an electronic shelf tag 5 associated with the commodity 6, and generates ordering instruction information D3 based on the obtained commodity specification information D2, and transmits it to an ordering server 90.
