<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling one or more parameters of a flow cytometer type measurement system. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes the step of monitoring the parameters of the measurement system during the measurement of a sample microsphere and the step of altering the parameters on the basis of monitoring in a real time. A method separate from this method includes the step of monitoring the temperature in the vicinity of the measurement system, the step of altering the bias voltage of an avalanche photodiode in response to temperature using experientially led-out data, and the step of altering the output signal of a photomultiplier in response to the temperature using a characteristic curve. Some methods include the step of monitoring the temperature of a fluid wherein the sample microsphere is arranged. The fluid passes through the flow cytometer type measurement system to flow.
