PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that decides whether to perform proxy printing without using a server device. SOLUTION: The image forming device 107-109 receives a print instruction from an information processor 105, acquires print data from an information processor 101-104 based on information related to the print data included in the print instruction, executes printing of the print data, creates, when an error occurs during the printing, proxy device list information indicating the image forming device 107-109 to be a candidate for performing printing by proxy, based on identification information for identifying the image forming device included in the print instruction, and transmits the proxy device list information to the information processor 105.
