PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus detachable with a small force, requiring no handling space to fit and pull out a fluorescent lamp, and equipping no breakable tube. SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus has: the fluorescent lamp 11 with a cap 17 protruded in a direction normal to a tube axis at the portion adjoining to both ends of a linear fluorescent tube 15, and a locking means and a pair of lamp pins protruded from the cap 17 in the same direction; and a lamp socket 25 having a plurality of holes into which the locking means and the lamp pins are respectively inserted on a socket body with which the cap 17 is brought into contact. The fluorescent lamp 11 with the locking means and the lamp pins inserted to each of the holes is rotated around the axis 33 normal to the tube axis G and parallel to the lamp pin, and mounted to the lamp socket 25.
