PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion capacitor allowing negative electrodes to sufficiently occlude lithium ions. SOLUTION: The capacitor 30 includes: a group of electrodes 7, where a positive electrode plate in which aluminum foil W1 where a positive electrode lead piece 2a is formed is coated with an active material mixture W2 and a negative electrode plate in which copper foil W3 where a negative electrode lead piece 3a is formed is coated with an active material mixture W4 are wound via a separator 4; a positive electrode current collecting ring 5 disposed opposite to a one-side end face of the group of electrodes 7 and joined to the tip of the positive lead piece 2a; a negative electrode current collecting ring 6 disposed opposite to the-other-side end face of the group of electrodes 7 and joined to the tip of the negative electrode lead piece 3a; a nonaqueous electrolyte; a cylindrical vessel 8; and a material 11 made of resin arranged onto one inner bottom face of the vessel 8 while the negative electrode current collecting ring 6 is covered.
