摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variety of a fine particle structure wherein a porous composite oxide particle is coated with a porous silica-based inorganic oxide layer; and to provide a substrate having a coating film which is formed on the surface of the substrate, includes the fine particles, has a low refractive index, and is excellent in adhesion with a resin or the like, strength, the ability to reduce reflection, and the like. SOLUTION: The fine particle is prepared by coating a porous composite oxide particle comprising silica and an inorganic oxide other than silica with a porous silica-based inorganic oxide layer having a thickness of 0.5-20 nm. The fine particle includes preferably an organic group directly bonded to silicon, and S<SB>R</SB>/S<SB>T</SB>, the ratio of the molar amount (S<SB>R</SB>) of silicon having the organic group directly bonded thereto vs the molar amount of the total silicon (S<SB>T</SB>), is preferably in the range from 0.001 to 0.9.
