<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of delectably and uniformly cooking rice regardless of the rice cooking quantity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes: a pot to which rice to be cooked is put; a rice cooker body having an opening part for housing the pot and a heating means for heating the rice to be cooked; a lid body for closing the opening part; a pressure valve which adjusts the pressure in the pot and a pressure valve opening mechanism which opens the pressure valve; a rice cooking quantity determination means which determines the quantity of the rice to be cooked; and a control means which controls the heating means and the pressure valve opening mechanism according to the rice quantity determined by the rice quantity determination means to successively execute a series of rice cooking steps. The control means controls the pressure valve opening mechanism according to the rice cooking quantity determined by the determination means, and changes at least either the opening time or the opening frequency of the pressure valve in a boiling keeping step.
