PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Boehmeria extract for preventing and treating diabetes, cancer, or neurodegenerative diseases is provided to suppress alpha-glucosidase, beta-glucosidase, beta-galactosidase, acethylcholine esterase(AChE), and butyrylcholine esterase(BChE). CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diabetes, cancer, or neurodegenerative diseases contains Boehmeria extract as an active ingredient. The Boehmeria includes Boehmeria nivea, Boehmeria nipononivea, Boehmeria spicata, Boehmeria tricuspis, Boehmeria sieboldiana, Boehmeria pannnosa, Boehmeria longispica, and Boehmeria platnifolia. A pharmaceutical composition for diabetes, cancer, or neurodegenerative disease contains the Boehmeria root butanol soluble extract or n-hexane soluble extract as an active ingredient.
