PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image-forming method which can form an image with high masking properties on a fabric even with a small amount of ink in a short time, and particularly a new image-forming method which can form a white image with high masking properties on a fabric even with a small amount of ink in a short time.

SOLUTION: The image-forming method includes a first image-forming step of forming an image on a fabric with a first ink composition and a second image-forming step of forming an image on the fabric with a second ink composition after the first image-forming step. The first ink composition contains a colorant whose average particle size is less than that of a second colorant contained by the second ink composition.
