PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window with a horizontal pivot, which produces resistance to a screen forced to be closed by receiving a wind, and which does not produce the resistance when the screen is forcedly closed by an arm. SOLUTION: This window with the horizontal pivot includes the screen 1 which is turned on the horizontal pivot 2 by receiving the wind W, the arm 3 which is provided on the indoor side of the screen 1 and which controls the opening and closing of the screen 1, and a buffering portion 5 which is provided on the arm 3. The arm 3 is turned on the horizontal pivot 4. The buffering portion 5, which is provided below the rotating shaft 4 of the arm, protrudes to a position to receive the screen 1 turned to a closing side by receiving the wind when the arm 3 is turned to the indoor side, and recedes to the indoor side when the screen 1 is forcedly closed by the arm 3.
