<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for corresponding to a long-period-earthquake-motion and a base isolation structure, which can avoid damage when a long-term predominant period is inputted in the base isolation structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The predicted predominant period of the earthquake motion which is expected to be inputted to the base isolation structure 3 is analyzed based on the earthquake motion measured by a seismometer 9. When the analyzed predicted predominant period belongs to a resonance range which produces the resonance of the base isolation structure in a base-isolated state, the operation of a base isolation device is limited, and the natural period of the base isolation structure is made shorter. As a result, even when the long-term predominant period is inputted with a high risk of causing resonance in a base-isolated state, it can be deviated from the natural period of the base isolation structure to prevent the occurrence of the resonance and thus, the occurrence of the damage can be controlled.
