<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment device for plasma display panel (PDP) having a structure capable of suppressing large-sizing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This is a heat treatment device for plasma display panel to heat-treat a glass substrate 22 for plasma display panel, and has an exhaust piping 26 and an exhaust guide 42 with an opening to communicate with the internal space of the exhaust piping 26 built in a roller conveyor 24 to transfer the glass substrate 22. An exhaust port 41 is provided in the roller conveyor 24, and when the positions of the exhaust guide 42 and the exhaust port 41 coincide, the gas in the heat treatment device is discharged to the outside of the heat treatment device through the exhaust port 41 and the exhaust guide 42 and through the exhaust piping 26.
