PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for making automobile interior finishing materials, which can achieve compatibly both the reduction of weight and form stability thereof through the use of a Vinylon fiber, and to provide automobile interior finishing materials having both the weight reduction and the form stability compatibly achieved thereof. SOLUTION: The base material for automobile interior finishing materials is constituted such that non-woven fabrics including strands of the Vinylon fibers focused are laminated on either one side or both sides of the surfaces of a porous base material. The automobile interior finishing materials also include the foregoing base material for automobile interior finishing materials.
