PURPOSE: A rechargeable battery is provided to easily change the form of the battery at a constant pressure condition, and to improve the reliability of the battery by including a blocking plate. CONSTITUTION: A rechargeable battery(100) comprises the following: an electrode assembly(110) generating a current; a case(120) including an opening to store the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly(140) combined to the case from the opening. The cap assembly includes a blocking plate(160) blocking the current flowing from the electrode assembly by the elevation of the pressure inside the case. The blocking plate contains 0.3~1.3~wt% of magnesium, 0.1~0.3wt% of zinc, and the balance of aluminum. |
