<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase efficiency in an operation space of a gripping member on the inside of a device so that the gripping member does not interfere with the other apparatus on the inside of the device. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet processing device has a storage guide 803 for successively stacking a carried sheet, a stapler 820 for selectively applying processing in a predetermined processing position to a sheet bundle composed of a plurality of sheets stacked on the storage guide 803, and a sheet gripping member 802 gripping and moving an end part of the sheet bundle stacked on the storage guide 803 to the processing position. The sheet gripping member 802 releases gripping of the sheet bundle once in a first position for gripping the end part of the sheet bundle till then before moving the sheet bundle to the processing position, and moves to a second position for approaching the end part of the sheet bundle from the first position in the opposite direction of the direction for moving the sheet bundle to the processing position, and moves the sheet bundle to the processing position after gripping the sheet bundle again in the second position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
